Performance chefs built around elite sport

At Built for Performance, we place professional performance chefs into the homes of elite athletes around the world.

This isn’t just about cooking good food. It’s about building a daily nutrition structure that supports training, recovery, and long-term performance.

Our chefs work closely with athletes across multiple sports and leagues globally, preparing fresh, whole-food meals that match the physical demands of professional sport. When training loads are high and schedules are intense, the body needs the right fuel every single day.

That’s where a performance chef becomes invaluable.

Because when nutrition is done properly, everything changes.

What a performance chef actually does

A performance chef is far more than someone who simply cooks healthy meals.

Our chefs take care of the athlete’s entire food structure day-to-day, allowing them to focus on training, recovery and performing at their best. That starts with sourcing the right ingredients. Performance chefs handle daily shopping and provisioning, making sure the kitchen is stocked with high-quality, nutrient-dense foods that support performance.

From there, everything is structured around the athlete’s schedule.

Training sessions, recovery periods, match days and travel all influence how food is planned throughout the week. Every meal is designed with purpose and thought, whether that’s fuelling a heavy training session, helping the body recover after competition, or maintaining consistent energy levels across a long season.

Day-to-day this can include.

• Preparing fresh whole-food meals tailored to training demands
• Structuring daily nutrition to support performance and recovery
• Planning menus around match schedules and training loads
• Preparing snacks, juices and recovery-focused meals
• Sourcing the best quality ingredients possible
• Creating consistency around food and routine

Food isn’t random. It’s planned.

Menus are built around the demands of the week ahead, making sure athletes are properly fuelled when they need it most and supported with the right nutrition for recovery afterwards.

At the same time, our chefs aren’t just performance chefs, they are experienced private chefs as well. That means food doesn’t just support performance, it also looks exceptional and tastes incredible. Presentation, flavour and creativity still matter.

Because eating well should never feel like a chore.

Our chefs combine performance nutrition with the standards of a professional kitchen, creating food that supports the body while still being something athletes genuinely look forward to eating every day.

Supporting athletes across the globe

Through our network of performance chefs, we support elite athletes across multiple sports around the globe. From professional footballers to athletes competing at the highest levels of sport, our chefs work inside private homes providing the consistency and structure that elite performance demands. Training is only part of the equation. What happens in the kitchen every day plays a huge role in how an athlete performs, recovers and maintains their body over the course of a long season.
